A recent quote has stuck with me for years, and as I move into this new chapter, it feels more true than ever. When I’m not creating, there’s a gap inside me that no amount of everyday noise can fill. Getting back into making art has become a way to process my mental health, reconnect with myself, and decide what I want my creativity to be moving forward.
For this personal project, I played with the classic masks of comedy and drama a symbol of the push and pull every creative feels. The joy and the struggle, the light and the heavy. It’s my way of translating that inner dialogue into something tangible.
And the soundtrack behind it all? “You Should Not Be Doing That” - Amyl and the Sniffers that resonates with tuning out the noise and just doing you. This is just the start, but it feels like the right place to begin again.
